Question 1

When are the products made?

Accepted Answer

After you order. The product is prepared and then packed once the order is placed, rather than pulled off a shelf where it has been sitting.

Question 2

How long do they keep?

Accepted Answer

Three to six months, depending on how you store them. Keep the pack airtight and out of humidity and you will be at the longer end of that; leave it open in a damp kitchen and you will not.

Question 3

Are there any preservatives?

Accepted Answer

No. There are no preservatives and no chemicals in any of our products. That is also why the shelf life is shorter than the packet you buy in a shop — nothing has been added to extend it.

Question 4

Is any artificial colour added?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no added colour anywhere in the range. The colour you see comes from the raw material, which is why our turmeric is ochre rather than neon and the chilli powder is the red a chilli actually is.

Question 5

How do I know if a masala has gone bad?

Accepted Answer

Loss of smell is the main sign. A masala that has stopped smelling of itself has stopped tasting of itself too, whatever the date on the pack says.

Question 6

How should I store a pack once it is open?

Accepted Answer

Move it into an airtight container. This matters more with our products than with a commercial powder, because there is no anti-caking agent in them to compensate for humidity.

Question 7

Are the bath and hair powders safe to eat?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything in the Herbal Care category — seekakai podi, kasthuri manjal, nalangu maavu and sthana podi — is for external use on hair and skin only and must not be eaten. Kasthuri manjal in particular should be patch tested 24 hours before you use it on your face, and never left on overnight.

Question 8

Which payment methods do you take?

Accepted Answer

All major domestic debit and credit cards, net banking, wallets and UPI. Cash on delivery is not accepted, and international cards are not valid. Every price shown includes GST — there is nothing added at the final step.

Question 9

I get an error at checkout and it will not take me to the payment page.

Accepted Answer

Check that your billing details — address, email and mobile number — are entered correctly, as that is the usual cause. If it still fails, email us a screenshot at srisrinvasaflourmill@gmail.com and we will look at it.

Question 10

My payment was taken but the order did not go through.

Accepted Answer

This generally happens at the bank's end. Where a payment fails and a charge has been taken, the refund is routed automatically through the payment gateway and credited back to the source account within three to four business days.

Question 11

Can I cancel an order online?

Accepted Answer

Not from the website. Email us instead — if the order has not yet been packed, the team will help you cancel it. Once it has been dispatched, cancellation may not be possible.

Question 12

Do you have a coupon code or any offers?

Accepted Answer

No. There are no offers or discount codes running at the moment.

Question 13

Do I need an account to order?

Accepted Answer

No. Checkout works as a guest and you will get order updates by email. An account is only worth making if you want to reorder in one tap or keep more than one delivery address.

Question 14

Do you ship across India?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we ship anywhere in India.

Question 15

Do you ship outside India?

Accepted Answer

Not currently. If you are abroad and want to send an order to family in India, that works normally — use their address at checkout.

Question 16

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Usually two to four business days within Tamil Nadu, and three to six business days elsewhere in India.

Question 17

What does delivery cost?

Accepted Answer

Delivery is charged by weight. Rates are ₹80 per kg within Tamil Nadu and ₹120 per kg outside it. Couriers bill in whole kilos and round up, so a 1.2 kg parcel is charged as 2 kg. Your basket shows an estimate at the Tamil Nadu rate and the exact figure is calculated at checkout once you enter an address.

Question 18

I have not received my order. Who do I contact?

Accepted Answer

Check the status on your account orders page first. If that does not answer it, email us at srisrinvasaflourmill@gmail.com with your order number.

Question 19

Can I return something I have already opened?

Accepted Answer

No. Opened, used or partially consumed food products are not eligible for return or refund, except where the product is defective or damaged. Because of the nature of food products, returns are generally not accepted once delivered.

Question 20

What if the parcel arrives damaged, leaking or wrong?

Accepted Answer

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photographs or video of both the product and the packaging. After we have verified it, we will provide a replacement or a refund as applicable.

Question 21

A product shows as sold out. When can I order it?

Accepted Answer

We try to keep everything available, but a line occasionally goes out of stock for reasons we did not plan for. It will be back as soon as we can make it.

Question 22

Do you accept bulk orders?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Email us at srisrinvasaflourmill@gmail.com with the products and quantities you need and we will come back to you.

Question 23

I want to buy wholesale, or discuss a business proposal.

Accepted Answer

We accept wholesale orders. Contact us at srisrinvasaflourmill@gmail.com with the details.
