About Pongal Mix
Raw rice and split moong, roasted together in ghee until the moong turns gold. Roasting is the step that takes twenty minutes at home and is already done here.
Pepper is cracked, not powdered, so you get the bite in pockets the way a good pongal should.
Add your own ghee at the end. We do not put enough in to make it shelf-stable and pretend that is generosity.
Ingredients
Everything that goes in, and nothing that does not. No preservatives, no chemicals, no added colour.
- Raw Rice
- yellow moong dal
- Pepper
- Jeera / Cumin
Ground in a facility that also handles wheat, groundnut, sesame and tree nuts.
How to use
One part mix to three parts water, three whistles.
Finish with a spoon of ghee off the heat.

- ₹80 per kg within Tamil Nadu, ₹120 per kg elsewhere. Charged on the parcel weight, rounded up to the next whole kilo.

- Food products cannot generally be returned once delivered. If yours arrives damaged, leaking, wrong or with a broken seal, tell us within 48 hours with photographs and we will replace or refund it. Read the returns policy.

Weekday breakfast fixed
Twelve minutes and it is genuinely good pongal. I add more ghee and more cashew than they include but that is a personal failing, not a product one.
