About Rava Dosa Mix
The ratio of rava to rice flour to maida is the whole recipe, and it is the thing home cooks spend years adjusting. This is ours: enough rava for crunch, enough rice flour for the lace, just enough maida to hold it together.
The batter must be watery. Every failed rava dosa is a batter someone thickened because it looked wrong.
No fermentation, so it goes from packet to pan in ten minutes.
Ingredients
Everything that goes in, and nothing that does not. No preservatives, no chemicals, no added colour.
- Semolina (rava)
- Rice flour
- Refined wheat flour
- Black pepper
- Cumin
- Ginger
- Curry leaf
- Asafoetida
- Salt
Ground in a facility that also handles wheat, groundnut, sesame and tree nuts.
How to use
One cup mix to three cups water. It should pour like milk.
Rest ten minutes, stir before every dosa, pour from a height onto a hot tawa.

Keep the batter watery
First batch failed because I thickened it. Second batch, left it like water as instructed, and got proper lace. Ten minutes start to finish.
