About Health Mix
Sixteen ingredients, each sprouted for two days, dried, Sprouting is what makes the minerals available and it is the step that turns a two-day process into a five-day one, which is why almost nobody does it.
No sugar, no malt extract, no milk solids. It is meant to be made with milk or water and sweetened at home — a child's portion and an adult's portion need different amounts and a pre-sweetened mix cannot serve both.
It provides sustained energy, supports muscle and bone growth, improves digestion, and boosts overall immunity for all age groups from toddlers to older adults

How to use
Three tablespoons to a cup of milk or water, whisked cold then brought to a boil.
Cook it out for four minutes — undercooked sathu maavu is why some people find it heavy.

My son actually drinks it
He refused every health mix I tried before this one, and I understand why now — they were all bitter. The sprouting must be what makes the difference. No sugar in it so I add a little jaggery syrup and that is all it needs.

I recommend this to patients
I am a paediatrician. The ingredient list is honest, there is no added sugar or malt, and the sprouting genuinely improves iron availability. I keep a bag at the clinic to show parents what to look for.

Cook it longer than you think
First time I made it thin and it felt heavy. Instructions say four minutes and they mean four minutes. Completely different once you do that.
