About Rice Upma Mix
Made from raw rice broken to rava grade rather than wheat semolina. It behaves differently — it drinks more water and it will not turn to paste if you look away.
This is the arisi upma of Kongunadu, which is a different dish from rava upma and worth knowing as one.
Coconut goes in at the end, and it is worth using fresh.
Ingredients
Everything that goes in, and nothing that does not. No preservatives, no chemicals, no added colour.

Ground in a facility that also handles wheat, groundnut, sesame and tree nuts.
How to use
One part mix to two and a half parts boiling water.
Cover and steam eight minutes. Fresh coconut and a spoon of gingelly oil to finish.

Arisi upma, properly
Good to see someone selling the rice version rather than rava. Coarser and nuttier as promised. Needs more water than the packet suggests in my experience.
