About Rice Flour
Washed, shade-dried for a day, then milled. Shade rather than sun — direct sun cracks the grain and gives you a flour that turns gummy.
Fine enough for murukku through a small plate, which is the hardest thing to ask of a rice flour.
This is also what goes into the bajji mix and the rava dosa mix, in the same grade.
Ingredients
Everything that goes in, and nothing that does not. No preservatives, no chemicals, no added colour.
- Raw rice
Ground in a facility that also handles wheat, groundnut, sesame and tree nuts.
How to use
Murukku: sieve with roasted gram flour, three to one.
As a crisping agent: a tablespoon into any batter that is going into oil.

Fine enough for murukku
This is the real test and most rice flour fails it — too coarse and the murukku breaks in the oil. Went through a small plate without a problem.
