About Ragi Flour
Sprouted for forty-eight hours before drying and milling. It changes the flour completely — sweeter, less chalky, and considerably easier on a small child's stomach.
Unsprouted ragi flour is cheaper to make and is what most bags contain. If yours tastes bitter at the back of the throat, that is the difference.
Deep red-brown. It is meant to look like that.
Ingredients
Everything that goes in, and nothing that does not. No preservatives, no chemicals, no added colour.
- Whole Ragi
Ground in a facility that also handles wheat, groundnut, sesame and tree nuts.
How to use
For koozh: one part flour to six parts water, boiled and cooled overnight.
For rotti: hot water, and work it while it is too hot to be comfortable.

Sprouted makes a real difference
I have made ragi koozh my whole life with ordinary flour. This is sweeter and does not have that bitter finish. My grandmother noticed before I told her.
Good but goes fast
Three months shelf life and it is true — at ten weeks it started smelling different. Buy the 500g unless you have a big family.
