About Turmeric Powder
Erode turmeric is the benchmark for curcumin content in India, and finger turmeric — the side rhizomes — runs higher than the bulb. This batch tests at 3.1%.
The rhizomes are boiled, sun-dried for ten days and polished before they reach the mill. Skipping the boil is common and produces a turmeric that never quite loses its raw smell.
Deep ochre, not neon yellow. Neon is metanil.
Ingredients
Everything that goes in, and nothing that does not. No preservatives, no chemicals, no added colour.

How to use
A quarter teaspoon is enough for four servings — more turns a dish bitter.
Add early, with the onions, so the raw edge cooks off.

That should tell you something. The colour is right — dull gold, not that bright yellow which is always adulterated.

A quarter teaspoon really is enough
Much more potent than what I was using. I overdid it the first week and everything tasted bitter. Followed the instruction and it has been perfect since.
